Motel 6 achieves the highest-ranked position of any economy lodging brand on prestigious industry list

DALLAS, Jan. 16, 2024G6 Hospitality, the leading economy lodging franchisor, announced today that its iconic Motel 6 and extended stay Studio 6 brands were recognized among the top 500 franchises for 2024 in Entrepreneur Magazine’s prestigious Franchise 500® ranking.

The annual Entrepreneur Franchise 500® is the world’s first and most comprehensive franchise ranking, serving as a dominant competitive measure and invaluable resource for evaluating and ranking business performance across critical factors including unit growth, financial strength and stability, and brand power.

For the 2024 rankings, Entrepreneur recognized Motel 6 as one of the Top 50 North American franchises, awarding the brand the #45 spot – the highest-ranking for any economy lodging brand on the list. Additionally, in its second year of inclusion, G6 Hospitality’s extended stay Studio 6 brand jumped 69 places to #190 on the list.

This year’s ranking shines a light on the unique challenges and changes that have shaped the franchise industry over the last year—and how franchisors have adapted and evolved to meet them. The Entrepreneur editorial team researched and assessed several factors, including costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. Each franchise received a cumulative score based on an analysis of more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest scores determined the Franchise 500® in ranked order.
